In Vedic Astrology, the Ninth House is the domain of Dharma—our sacred path. It governs philosophy, spiritual teachings, long-distance travel, teachers, and the pursuit of truth. It’s where we step beyond the confines of our immediate circumstances and into the wide, open terrain of what life is here to teach us.
If the Eighth House is where we face the shadows, the Ninth is where we integrate the lessons and begin to rise again with wisdom.
Personal Reflections from the Road
I’ve always been a traveler. Not just through countries and cities—but through states of being, beliefs, and teachings. I’ve studied in temples and tantrik ashrams, sat in silent meditation for ten days, and journeyed into the emotional wilderness of my own heart.
Each time I think I’ve arrived, the Ninth House humbly reminds me that arrival is an illusion. The truth is in the walk itself—in the stories gathered, the people met, the uncomfortable teachings that reshaped me. Wisdom is earned in motion.
This month, I find myself reflecting deeply on a teaching that’s returning again and again:
“You don’t find your path. You walk it, one unknown step at a time.”
And speaking of walking the path—this week, I’m embodying the Ninth House energy fully as I head to New York for some R&R and to bring my work to a new community. I’m so excited to be sharing Tantra Date Night with New York—taking the medicine of conscious connection and sacred play to new soil, new hearts, new seekers.
This is what the Ninth House asks of us: to not keep our wisdom locked away, but to carry it with us, share it generously, and allow ourselves to be changed by every new encounter.

A Tantric Practice: The Path of Inquiry
- Find a quiet space where you can sit undisturbed.
- Light a candle, and place a journal or notebook in front of you.
- Ask yourself the following questions, slowly:
- What do I think I know for sure… and where did that belief come from?
- What truth am I afraid might change me if I really let it in?
- What is life trying to teach me right now, through this exact moment?
- Write your answers without editing.
- When you’re done, bow to the mystery. Burn the page if it feels right—or keep it as a sacred note from your soul.

The Ninth House teaches us that wisdom is not static. It moves, it grows, and it humbles us. Whether you’re exploring the world or sitting on your cushion in silence, every step is sacred if you’re willing to receive the lesson.
