The Wisdom Within: Trusting Your Inner Guidance

A serene meditative figure beneath a glowing moon, with soft light radiating from the third eye and heart, symbolizing intuition, inner wisdom, and Vedic insight.

There was a time I ignored my intuition. I thought logic was king, and intuition was just “woo-woo.” But the more I have walked the Tantric path—and deepened my understanding of Vedic Astrology—the more I realized that intuition is not irrational. It’s sacred intelligence.

This week, I want to speak to those moments when you feel something before you know something. When the body whispers yes—or screams no. When the mind says one thing, but your gut says another.

That’s your inner oracle.

Moon Magic: Soma, the Inner Elixir

In Vedic Astrology, the Moon (Chandra) governs your mind, emotions, and intuition. It’s your soma, the nectar of inner knowing. A strong moon in your chart often correlates with:

  • Deep empathy
  • Psychic sensitivity
  • Connection to cycles and rhythms
  • A vivid inner world

But when the Moon is afflicted (say, by Saturn or Rahu), you may struggle with:

  • Emotional turbulence
  • Doubting your inner voice
  • Confusion and indecisiveness
  • Mental fog or overthinking

This week, with the Moon’s waning phase between the Full Moon and the New Moon, we’re called to go inward, to soften, to reflect.

Tantric Approach to Inner Listening

Tantra teaches us to stop seeking answers “out there” and start turning inward. You don’t need a guru on a mountaintop—you need to listen to the divine wisdom within you.

Here’s how:

  • Trataka (Candle Gazing):

Focus your gaze on a flame and let thoughts rise and fall without attachment. Eventually, your awareness turns inward and intuition sharpens.

  • Third Eye Meditation:

Close your eyes and breathe into the space between your brows (Ajna Chakra). Ask a question and wait—don’t force an answer. Just notice what arises.

  • Body Oracle Practice:

Lie down. Place your hand on your heart or belly. Ask, “What do I need to know today?” and allow the body to speak—not the mind.

Vedic Tip: Check Your Moon Nakshatra

Your birth Moon nakshatra holds keys to your intuitive style:

  • Rohini – sensual and emotionally intelligent
  • Hasta – keen awareness through hands and healing
  • Pushya – nurturing intuition and devotion
  • Ashlesha – deep psychic perception, serpent-like sensing

When I found out my moon was in a nakshatra tied to emotional depth and inner transformation, it helped me stop gaslighting myself. I stopped calling myself “too sensitive” and started honoring it as my gift.

Today’s Thought Exercises:

  1. When have you known something—before knowing why? What happened when you trusted it? When you didn’t?
  2. What quiet part of yourself needs more space to speak?
  3. Try this today: Before making a decision, pause. Ask your body what it knows. Journal what you hear.
