Capricorn and the Tenth House Walking the Path with Purpose

Capricorn symbol in 10th house astrology chart

As I sit here in early December, preparing to step more fully into my doctoral work and book writing, I’m feeling Capricorn tenth house energy deeply. I’m being asked: What legacy am I building? How do I honor both the devotion to spirit AND the discipline of showing up for these long-term commitments? It’s humbling work.

This question isn’t just mine—it’s ours. As we enter December, the final chapter of this transformational year, the cosmos invites us to embody everything we’ve learned. The theme this month is Unity and Oneness, and what better way to begin than with Capricorn—the archetype of grounded ambition and spiritual maturity.

From Wisdom to Building

Last month, we explored Wisdom and Expansion through Jupiter’s lens. We opened our Third Eye, studied the Ninth House of higher learning, and sat in meditation to access deeper insight.

Now, as we close out the year, Saturn asks us: What will you DO with all that wisdom? How will you build with it?

This is Capricorn’s medicine. This is the Tenth House calling.

Capricorn and the Tenth House: Where Spirit Meets Structure

In Vedic Astrology, Capricorn (Makara) is ruled by Saturn, the great teacher of discipline, structure, and time. It governs the Tenth House—the house of karma, vocation, public life, and legacy. This is where our spiritual practices meet the real world.

This week challenges us to ask: What are you building with your spiritual growth? How does your inner evolution ripple outward into your family, career, or community?

We often separate the sacred from the mundane—lighting candles at the altar, only to lose presence in the rush of everyday responsibilities. But true Tantra teaches integration. The divine is in your breath, your posture at work, the way you answer a text, or show up for a loved one.

Capricorn energy helps us root spiritual truth into tangible action.

The December Paradox

December can feel chaotic—parties, obligations, year-end deadlines, family dynamics, the pressure to feel “grateful” and “festive” even when you’re exhausted or grieving or simply ready for the year to end.

Capricorn tenth house energy doesn’t ask us to escape this. It asks us to move through it with consciousness, to be the steady mountain while the world swirls around us.

This is a powerful invitation to align your dharma—your soul’s path—with your karma—your daily action. Start by getting honest about where your values do or don’t match your routines.

Ask yourself:

  • Am I living in alignment with what I say matters most?
  • How do I carry the sacred into the ordinary?
  • What legacy am I shaping, consciously or unconsciously?

Practice for the Week

Wake up each morning this week and set one clear intention that integrates spiritual awareness with worldly responsibility.

Perhaps it’s offering your workday as service, speaking more truthfully, or completing a task you’ve resisted with full presence. Write it down. Speak it aloud. Then live it.

A Final Note on Moon Ceremonies

As we bring the year to a close, I want to share something bittersweet: we only have two more Moon Ceremonies on the books.

Next year, I’ll be stepping back from these bi-monthly gatherings as I focus on my doctoral program and writing. The Moon Ceremonies have been such a sacred part of our community rhythm, and I’m grateful for every single one we’ve shared.

If you have a credit for a ceremony, please be sure to use it. We have:

🌕 Full Moon Ceremony – Thursday, December 4th

🌑 New Moon Ceremony – Friday, December 19th

These will be our final two for the foreseeable future, and I’d love to close this chapter together if you feel called to join.

Closing Reflection

Capricorn asks for maturity, not perfection. It doesn’t care if your spiritual life looks good on Instagram—only that it’s embodied in how you move through the world.

Make this week a practice of integrity. Match your devotion with discipline. Stay grounded, and let your soul connect with the earth.

This Week’s Invitation

I’d love to hear: What are you building with your spiritual growth? How does your practice show up in your daily life?

Reply to this email, comment on the blog, or share on social—let’s reflect on this together as we close out the year.

With grounded devotion,

Shiva J
