In the deepest corners of your psyche, where secrets hide and pain fades into memory, Pluto’s influence waits—not to punish, but to transform.
This week, we explore Pluto’s influence through the lens of Vedic Astrology and Tantra. While Pluto is not a classical graha (planet) in the Vedic system, many modern Vedic astrologers recognize its power as a symbol of death, rebirth, and transformation….themes that align closely with both Scorpio and the 8th House, which governs hidden truths, sexuality, power dynamics, and the dissolution of the ego.
Pluto: Destroyer and Rebuilder
Pluto doesn’t just nudge. It demolishes what’s outdated. It unearths what’s been buried….trauma, shame, fear, resentment—and demands that we face it. But this destruction is never without purpose. Pluto clears the ground so something more authentic can rise.
In Tantra, this is the energy of Kali….fierce, untamed, and liberating. The Goddess who cuts through illusion with her sword, not to harm, but to free. She dances on Shiva’s body, reminding us that destruction and creation are lovers, not enemies. Just like Pluto, Kali invites you to reclaim your power by facing your truth.
When I think about Pluto’s influence energy, I remember sitting with my own rage years ago….the kind I’d been taught was “unspiritual.” I’d suppressed it, spiritualized it, tried to love-and-light it away. But when I finally let myself feel it fully, I found something underneath: a fierce protector who had been guarding my boundaries all along. That rage wasn’t the problem. My fear of it was.
Where Are You Being Invited to Transform?
This week, ask yourself:
- Where do I give away my power….knowingly or unknowingly?
- What part of me is dying, and what new version is trying to be born?
- Where have I been avoiding discomfort, and what would it mean to surrender to it?
Use these questions as journal prompts, or explore them in movement or meditation. Let them lead you not to surface-level answers, but to felt experiences in the body. The body always knows before the mind catches up.
Tantric Practice: Reclaiming Power Ritual
Try this short ritual to invite Pluto’s transformative energy:
- Light a black or red candle. These colors are associated with shadow, depth, and root chakra power.
- Write down one story you’re ready to let go of…a belief about yourself that feels outdated or disempowering. Examples: “I’m too much.” “I don’t deserve love.” “My anger makes me bad.”
- Speak it aloud, then burn or bury the paper with reverence. As you do, imagine the energy you’ve given to that story returning to you.
- Inhale deeply, place your hands on your belly, and say:
“I reclaim the energy I gave away. I welcome the power of my truth.” - Sit in silence for a few moments and feel what arises.
Whether you complete this ritual fully or simply speak one affirmation of reclamation today, you’re planting seeds. Trust the process.
The Power Beneath the Pain
True power isn’t force. It isn’t control.
It’s presence. Ownership. The courage to live without hiding.
This week, let Pluto’s energy guide you toward radical honesty. Not just in how you speak to others…but in how you face yourself. This is the path of the alchemist, the Tantric, the reborn.
You are not being punished by the darkness. You are being initiated.
